What exactly is Wyler Assurance? Wyler Assurance is coverage offered on select vehicles with less than 100,000 miles on the odometer. Only cars, trucks, vans, and SUVs under 10 years old are eligible. Covered vehicles tout a 6,000-mile/6-month limited powertrain warranty, and coverage may or may not overlap with a remaining balance of the manufacturer's limited warranty. Which Used Vehicles are Covered by Wyler Assurance?
If the vehicle is less than ten years old and has less than 100,000 miles on it, it still must pass an inspection before being issued Wyler Assurance. Vehicles sold as-is are not eligible, and some makes, models, powertrains, and equipment packages may preclude coverage. Commercial use by the prospective owner may limit or preclude coverage. Coverage starts from the mileage and date listed on the buyer's order at the time of sale.
What Wyler Assurance Covers

Internally-lubricated components of your gas or diesel engine are covered, including pistons, piston rings and pins, crankshaft and main bearings, connecting rods and rod bearings, camshaft and bearings, oil pump, timing chain, gears and/or belt, rocker arms, valves, valve springs, seats and guides, valve push rods, and lifters. The block and/or turbocharger are covered if failure occurs because of a covered part.
Internally-lubricated parts of the transmission and transfer case are covered, too. Bands, clutch packs, gears, pumps, shafts, shift forks, shift rails, synchronizers, and solenoids are all covered, and failure of the transmission or transfer case because of these components is also covered. Associated parts that are also covered include the torque converter, bell housing, vacuum modulator, transmission mounts, and transmission pan.
Finally: drive axles/final drive housing. They're covered by the failure of an internally lubricated part. Lubricated parts that are covered include axle shafts, differential cover, universal joints and yokes, constant velocity and double offset joints, drive shaft center bearings, supports, and propeller shafts.
